Our People

The Rieschel family is scattered throughout Montana, Washington, and Oregon. Gary, Yucca, Kevin, Casey, and Lauren all have an enduring interest in philanthropic work, especially in the areas of education, mental health, and conservation. The Rieschel Foundation was founded in 2019 to assist nonprofit organizations in their goals of bringing meaningful impact to their communities and planet.

In 2019 Gary and Yucca tapped Pete MacFadyen to help incorporate and lead the day to day operation of the foundation. Shortly thereafter Katie DiBerardinis was hired to oversee its grant program. Recently, Lauren Rieschel has joined the team and is steeped in learning all things related to the foundation.
